Major Issue with sound output
« on: February 01, 2022, 09:12:11 pm »
Hey all,

I have this issue with my MB2S and maybe someone could help me out here. I also posted the same message in the Technical Issues section but no answer.

Well, few days ago I powered up my minibrute 2s after some months of inactivity and I noticed a high pitched sound coming out NOT from the unit's output (i.e headphones or amp) but from the unit itself (the chassis). The synth powered up fine but when I tried to make some sounds it behaved fully abnormal, meaning: the output was very low (if any), almost nothing, the few sounds I managed to hear were distorted, I couldn't change any of the OSCs pitches, filter didn't work... Only the noise OSC sounded almost ok, but generally the instrument sounded like broken. The closest I can describe it is like a problem I had with a JP-8000 which had a similar problem due to a bad capacitor.

I did a hard reset, changed the PSU with another, no luck, the problem was still there.

Any ideas?
