Sound issue Analog Lab 4

Hello,
   I have Essential 49 keyboard. When I try to use  Analog Lab 4 I get no sound using the keys,however whichever instrument I have chosen will respond when using the mouse.
     I am by no means a techie person so I may be missing something glaringly obvious!
       Any help much appreciated,

In Standalone mode? Have you selected your controller in the Audio midi Settings, where you also set up your sound device?
