Tutorial Issue: Modulators Part 2

I've been trying to follow the tutorials of the ARP 2600...I found some difficulty with "Modulators Part 2" where changing the sequencer patterns while did not affect anything.  Parameters outside of the highlighted area cannot be changes, so I don't know what to do there.

Any word on this? Seems like a number of the steps in the ARP 2600 V3 tutorial aren't wired up properly.
