Using a midi controller keyboard with Keystep Pro

Hello fellow Arturians,

Hopefully just a quick question.

As much as I love the KSP at the centre of my studio set-up, I've decided that using it as a "master keyboard" is a little frustrating.

I'm thinking of grabbing a Roland A-49 midi keyboard controller to use to trigger the KSP while also giving me a bigger keybed/more octaves to mash on.

Is it any more complex than just connecting the A-49 to the KSP's midi in socket and going nuts?

Apart from the fact that the A-49 doesn't have aftertouch, will I lose anything by triggering the KSP this way?

Cheers!
