trigger gate with sequencer

Hi,  is it possible to play a chord on the MicroFreak and have the sequencer trigger an envelop and not the pitch of the oscs?  I'm trying to create an effect like a pad sound being gated by an audio gate which is being triggered by a side chain.

try in the mod matrix keys/arp to pitch and go negative with the modifier
