Instead of locking on a per column basis could EACH parameters of ANY columns be locked independently. For exemple:
Lock only :
Col1 Pitch only
Col7 Octave only
etc.
Sometimes it is interesting for ex. to lock the first note (col1 for ex.) on a strong beat but let the randomization apply to octave anyway for that step.
