Type of MIDI Breakout Cable needed?
« on: June 30, 2020, 10:54:38 pm »
I bought a used MicroFreak and just realized it didn't come with the MIDI Breakout Cables. I know there's mass confusion with different types and I'm not sure which type I need for the freak. Manual and internet search are no help.

The tip, ring and shield of the 3.5mm jack is connected to the DIN plug as shown here:

Code: [Select]
  3.5mm jack plug:
    ____
        |___ __ __
        |___|__|__)
    ____|
          s   r  t

Looking at the female DIN connector:

         s
    t    o   r
      o     o
     o       o

Hi, just to add important detail - it has to be Type A midi cable.
