Bad UI performance

I'm using Spark 2 (newest) in Reaper on a pretty spec'ed Mac Mini with external eGPU on a 5K screen. Even if its only Spark running everything stutters in both Spark and Reaper if I play while it's open. How come?

Have you tried to use a simple GPU instead?
In generel music applications does'nt require much of the CPU. The use of advanced gaming technologies to improove performance may not be good to use.

Is it only the GUI and not the sound that stutter?

What's  the specs of a pretty spec'ed  MAC mini?

BTW: Spark is'nt scaleable.
