BSP + Ableton 10 USB Setup Problems / Pitch Drops Freeze
« on: April 04, 2020, 09:53:29 pm »
hey everyone,

for hours I m trying to setup my bsp with ableton 10 via USB and get pitch drops and feedbacks. Havent found a solution in the internet yet. i hope you guys can help me out here, getting a bit frustrated over here.

i want to have the bsp be slave to the ableton. so the sync on the bsp is on usb. ableton is receiving input track and sending sync to output of the bsp (port1). the bsp is connected directly into the computer and to the anti ground loop adapter. (tried some cables and charger, dont know if my problem is the ground noise).
midi control center and bsp is updated (bsp: 2.0.1)

i saved a pattern1 on b1, a1, g1 32steps and after pressing play the pitch of the pattern drops to f-2 (and related) . i cant change the pitch via "seq1" + pad / oct+-. it freezes and is either in deepest bass mud or high pitch. or it stays in higher tune (B3) and when i press record on the channel with the drum rack it drops to d-2
i just can get out of this by loading pattern2 (which is empty right now) and then going back to pattern1. but again a pitch drop on the whole pattern will happen.
or sometimes even worse, but restarting bsp and ableton.

i used midi sync and havent stumbled over that problem there. but if i connect the bsp via midi cables to my roland octa-capture. the mcu isnt working. does the mcu need the usb connection to work? or is that another problem? like that i dont have the option to setup the midi preferences for bsp port2

hopefully you can help me find a solution soon
thanks alot
