Will Arturia continue to develop/support the PPC MacOS X?
« on: September 24, 2005, 04:02:51 pm »
Hello,

Some months ago, Apple iCEO made public announcement that future Macintosh hardware will be based on Intel platform architecture and that Mac OS X will be supplied for this platform as well as for the PPC platform we now own and cherish   .

As I presume that Arturia emulations will use extensive SIMD abilities within the host CPU (either PPC or Intel) in their TAE based emulations.
What will be the company strategy in term of development?
Will it still support both hardware platforms (which I hope and expect) or will it dismiss the PPC platforms because the SSEn code could now be factorized between both OS platforms (ie. Win32 and Mac OS X).

Thank you for reading,
Benoît
