While using Keystep as MIDI it craps out- stops working

lp please!!!!

While using Keystep as MIDI it craps out- stops working
I’ve had my Keystep since Tuesday, and while trying to use it as a MIDI controller for midi tracks/midi instruments in Ableton Live 10, the Keystep will transfer a few notes but then suddenly stop, and it’s like it’s stuck on a sustained note because Ableton keeps playing the note like I’m just holding down the keys.
My other midi keyboard has never has an issue like this whatsoever.
Btw, I have done a factory reset (holding down oct- oct+ while powering up) and looked at settings in Midi control center, and did a firmware update. None have helped the issue.
Please help.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😫
I will be eternally grateful even if it turns out to be a hardware problem with my Keystep

It's possible that your USB cable might be defective.  Try using it on another software like Analog Lab or even download a MIDI program that allows you to see which codes are being received.  Another option is to try it on another computer/laptop.  At least it will allow you to narrow the problem.
