(2D wavetables) morph between wavetables
« on: April 06, 2020, 09:15:35 pm »
Imagine if there were some more steps in between the 16 wavetables and if these steps contained morphed versions between the neighbouring wavetables. That would enable 2D wavetable scanning instead of the current 1D wavetable scanning with 'hard' jumps between tables.

And while we are at it, it would be awesome to be able to change the order of the wavetables.

I imagine that 2D wavetable scanning should be either a menu toggle to be backwards compatible, or a completely new 'oscillator type'.

great idea.. and maybe not so hard to implement either as new modulator or option..
all related parameters should also be enabled in the modulating matrix..

Better blending in general with the existing model would be good.

+1 >> yes, smooth transitions between tables would sound much better than the current hard transition. Custom order would be great or at least, choosing A and B (ping-pong).
