1:1 "knob acceleration" like on Keylab MkII Please!!!
« on: May 18, 2019, 03:20:51 pm »
I bought a Beatstep as an addition to the 19 knobs/sliders on my Keylab mkII. The keylab (in MIDI Control Centre) has a "1:1" setting for "knob acceleration". I was a bit shocked to discover that the Beatstep does not have this setting, as the other settings are completely unusable. Please add the same functionality for the Beatstep in a firmware or MIDI Control Centre update. This is exactly what most people would want: a software knob that behaves just like its physical counterpart. Acceleration medium/fast is very unnatural, and the OFF setting is too slow. We technically don't want acceleration at all, we just want 1:1.

The marketing says "The chameleon controller and sequencer that provides nearly endless possibilities.". Perhaps this is a great sequencer, I don't know. I bought it as a controller because it claimed to be a controller. It's verging on false advertising to say this is a "controller" if it has useless midi controller knobs.
