Copy patterns to alternate steps
« on: February 14, 2019, 10:53:00 pm »
For the sake of anyone else looking up this issue, copying patterns to alternate steps using shift + >> is not quite as straight forward as is made out.

Using shift + >> will not work if your last step is set to 64! You need to set the last step to the end of the current pattern if you want to copy it to the adjacent sequence. Interestingly (if somewhat confusingly), you can skip a sequence and copy it over to the next-but-one sequence by setting the last step to be on the next sequence. For example, if you want to copy sequence 16 to sequence 48 (missing out sequence 32), set the last step to the end of sequence 32 and it will copy over to sequence 48. Unhelpfully, this technique will only allow you to copy the pattern in sequence 16, it will not work if you want to duplicate sequence 32 to 48 and/or 64 for example. Rather confusing.

My feature request is to allow us to copy whichever sequence is currently selected (say sequence 32) and copy it to another sequence (say sequence 64). Thank you!
