Flowkey iPad app with Keystep
« on: December 25, 2018, 03:51:29 pm »
Hello fellow musicians,

my question is not related to producing with Keystep, but given that I have got it already I'd like to to use it to learn some basic piano skills.

I've got iPad and also Camera Kit and USB connection. Everything works properly in MIDI Wrench app.

I've found good app for learning piano - flowkey. It supports MIDI connection and registers correctly key strokes.

The problem is that it doesn't generate any sound. It just probably supports MIDI from standalone pianos that have their own sound generator.

Is there any way around this? To get some sound on iPad using MIDI and in the same time allow flowkey to register MIDI notes?

Is there some kind of Audiobus or routing signals for Midi?

Thanks a lot!

btw is anybody using Keystep with iPad to learn piano?
