Sample Hold Module
« on: May 06, 2005, 07:54:09 pm »
I am very new to modular synths.  So if anyone can explain to me how the "sample hold module" is used and give me an example of a patch in which it is used, I would greatly appreciate it.  I have serach through the presets but have not found an example.  If there is one in which the SH is used, please tell me which one it is.

Thanks!

The sample and hold module sample.... and hold an input signal !! :)
In fact the input signal is sampled regularly at a variable speed by the sample and hold module, and each sampled value fix the output value until the next step of input sampling.

One of the useful application is to use a white noise as an input of the S&H module and set a middle speed of sampling.
You'll obtain a stepped random signal to the output of the S&H module.
