KeyLab 88 without computer
« on: November 20, 2017, 08:42:41 pm »
Hi there, new to KeyLab (classical pianist) and looking to get this setup in my new music room/office. I don't plan on ALWAYS having my laptop in that room so I was curious if the KeyLab 88 can run speakers through the MIDI out at all with any of the preset/preloaded sounds or if it will always require to be routed through a soundcard of some sort (e.g. a computer or ipad)? Sorry for the noob question but this will be my first MIDI controller. I know most of them don't have the ability to play onboard sound (through a midi output speaker or headphones) but with the DC power adapter it's unclear to me whether the KeyLab 88 is able to do so or not. Thanks!

Really? 99.9% of people like you who resurrect long dead threads with vague comments like yours are spammers who go on to edit their post to include an irrelevant link to some website somewhere.

But just in case you are genuine, no it can't.
