VCO Pitch In 1 & 2
« on: August 01, 2018, 12:06:15 pm »
Hey fellow Brutsies,

I am twiddling with some FM, using the Brute and a Roland System 1-m. And if I understand this right, then the MatrixBrutes "VCO1 Pitch In" seems to affect the pitch of VCO 1 and VCO 2. Whereas "VCO 2 Pich In" only modulates VCO2. If this is the case, then I donīt get, why that would be so.

I for example wanted to set up a 3 operator Synth modulating VCO1 externally and having the result modulate VCO2 via the MatrixBrutes FM section.

If VCO 1 Pitch In were meant to change the entire pitch of the system, that would have been understandable somehow, but it doesnīt affect VCO3, so I really donīt get it.

Or am I missing something?

No, you're not missing anything. I agree that it's a strange design decision, a mislabeling and also an omission in the manual.

@ Arturia : the MatrixBrute needs a proper manual - you know, like all your other products... ;)
