Audio ticks and pops

I just started 2600V up and I am getting lots of ticks and pops in the audio.  I run a Dual 2GHz G5 on DP4.52.  I have MOTU 828Mk2 and Mk1 on the interface side.  I use a single buffer size of 256.  This has been sufficient for Trilogy, Stylus, Reason, MX4, etc.  Any clues??

Do you have some cpu peaks when using the ARP 2600 V ?
With such a configuration you may not have pops in the audio..

Do you have any problem with the standalone version ?
