Arturia keystep as clock divider

Hi guys I'm syncing my modular synth with an arturia keystep and I'm checking if I can use it as clock divider as for example in sync in and sync out based on time div knob setting. is it possibile?

In theory it shouldn't work, but you can fake it with the gate out.  It would mean you only run crotchets in your sequences so that no step will be missed on the receiving device, but with using the arp it will be a sure fire winner.
