Can I program the Beatstep to send Midi Sysex messages?

Hey all,

I bought the Beatstep to use as an extra midi controller for my guitar modeler. For example use the encoders to change delay parameters or the tone stack on an modeled amp.

I just installed the Midi Control Center and was surprised to see that there was no way to program the Beatstep to send Sysex Messages. Am I overlooking something? If not, are there any 3rd party apps/hacks that allow this?

If this would be possible I would trying out the beat step as dedicated PAD-selector (skip the shift+PAD command) for Electribe sampler 2 in live situations. Rotaries could be used for individual volume controls of the 16 pads etc.
