Running Drumbrute as slave to Ableton 9
« on: October 16, 2017, 07:23:35 pm »
Hi all, I am sadly a total novice in regards to making this happen.

I am hoping to run a live show with ableton 9, using an Akai apc mini to launch clips, the minibrute for basslines and the minilogue for some live chords synthesis, all in all that aspect is working with the fireface 400 sound card im using.

I just bought the drum brute to take care of some live drum elements , kick , rhythmic stuff to get away from the using audio backing even more.

I cannot for the life of me get the drumbrute to sync with the session, reading up on clocks etc and Ive not idea what this is its beyond my midi knowledge..

can anyone show me how to get the drumbrute to run in ableton 9 alongside my sessions of which change tempos etc.

I cant use the USB its got an earthing issue midi seems to be the only way to get it flowing..

lost - anyone?

Hi David Harks,

Here is a video tutorial for BeatStep Pro and Ableton Live. The synchronization part is the same for DrumBrute.
