Pattern Duplication
« on: May 17, 2017, 03:32:18 pm »
I cry a little when I have to manually copy a small sequencer pattern to all 64 steps on the sequencer.  I usually just don't do it at all because it takes too much time.

On the sequencer or Matrix arp, I'd like to duplicate a small pattern I've been working on.
A common production technique is to start small with a 4-16 step loop. It's easy and faster to craft something small and interesting.  After getting a desired pattern, I want to duplicate that loop all the way to down the 64 step sequencer.  For example, on the Matrix Brute, I'd like to work on a 8 step loop and then eventually copy it 8 times to fill out the available 64 steps.  Lastly, I'll manually tweak the end of each row of 8 or 16 steps to add alternating variation to my loops.  Maybe I'll add alternating modulations or slides before the loop starts over each time.

This would stop the tears from short circuiting my lovely Brute.

thank you
