Unable to use Keystep to control Korg Volca FM
« on: February 02, 2017, 06:54:58 pm »
Hello,

This may be a very basic question, or I'm doing something very silly and wrong. I'm trying to use the keystep to play notes through the volca fm. I've got a midi cable going from the midi out on the keystep to the volca fm. Both are on midi channel 1. No changes have been made out of the box to the keyboard.

The only thing I can get working is for the keystep to start and stop a sequence on the volca fm and control its rate. I can't play notes through it. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

This is now fixed. Issue was short messages on the Volca FM was disabled. To re-enable do the following: Start it up with the func key held down. Press the 7 on the ribbon and NdShrt should appear, toggle that to on.
