No "Working Project" in midi control center

Is there still a Synch mode available in MCC? I would like to have changes made in MCC be reflected in the hardware without the slow "recall from step." Manual describes this, but doesn't seem to work that way. I'm on 1.4.0.20 firmware/ Mac 10.10.5
