No MIDI sync on MM sequencer when in standalone
« on: February 06, 2005, 01:01:05 am »
I'm making alot of presets in the Mg Modular where I start the MM sequencer when I trigger a midi note and the sequencer stops when I trigger a note off.

I want the MM sequencer to run in MIDI sync with cubase when it's in standalone mode. However, the MIDI sync doesn't seem to work. I'm running the MM in standalone on my mac and cubase triggers it from a pc via midi.

This works fine when MM is a VST instrument inside cubase - ie when you press a note, the MM seq runs for the duration of that note in time with cubase.

Any ideas why this isn't woking ?

I sorted this out.

You have to make sure that Cubase is transmitting MIDI clock to the MIDI output. I thought this happened automatically - but you have to switch it on
