problem to control the BSP with a MIDI keyboard

Hello everyone,

As a typical french guy i don't speak english very well so excuse me if there are mistakes.

I can't play with a midi keyboard while the step sequencer is running. In fact, I can but only in record mode.

If the sequencer is stopped : I can
If I push the play button to launch the sequencer: It's not working, my synthesizer don't receive midi notes anymore (but i'm still able to send midi notes with the BeatstepPro's ''pads keyboard'').
And if a push the record button in order to activate the record mode : it's working again, I can send midi notes with the BeatStepPRO 's pads AND my midi keyboard.

MIDI KEYBOARD(midi out) ---------> (midi in)BEATSTEPPRO(midi out) ----------> (midi in)WALDORF SYNTHESIZER RACK


This is not a channel problem, not a keyboard problem and not a synthesizer problems (I tried severals synths keyboards and computers)
I've got the latest firmware but i remember before the update, there was the same problem with the ''pads keyboard'' of the beat step pro. So.. is it normal ? Do we have to wait for the next update or i'm the only one with this problem ?

Hi Alexdead

Yes this is normal , you can also press mute to play through, while sequence is playing but of course this mutes the sequence.  also please be aware all midi through the bsp is mono .

Ah ? I didn't know that it was possible to play through by muting the sequence. I guess it's gonna be okay.
