How do I get MIDI Clock to drive Sequencer rate?
« on: November 02, 2016, 07:33:25 pm »
Hi,

I got myself an Akai Advance in the hope that I can use my V Collection synths more productively. Especially with the ARP 2600 I'd like the patches that use sequences to run at my setup's tempo set by an external drum machine. All my gear receives MIDI Clocks via their MIDI IN.. but how do I do this for the ARP 2600 and other plug-ins?

Thanks.

Please explore the applications, and also  refere to the manuals first, and then ask if you are still in doubt. There are different methods in different applications, and some sequences is not even made by a sequencer. So preset examples can be of use, if you'll need to ask.

For the ARP please see the attached image. The yellow arrow point at the MIDI Switch for the ARP sequencer.
