PRST LINK Notes hanging
« on: December 13, 2015, 10:54:03 pm »
When I use PRST LINK the last note of the of the previous pattern always hangs over the first note of the new pattern . When I change patterns *without* the PRST LINK on no notes hang over. Anyone having this problem?

Correction. It's not the last note of each pattern it's the first note.

So with PRST Link turned on

Pattern 1 plays.
Change to pattern 2 and note one of pattern plays upon change
Change back to pattern 1 and note one of pattern 2 plays.

I've had this problem too.  I'm using the latest firmware (v1.3.)  "Wait to load pattern" is set to "on" so the pattern should change at the end of the measure.  I have "Seq Link" set to "Relative."  I'm using MIDI to play two synths.

Almost always, with PRST LNK on, I'll change to the next pattern and hear the first note of the next measure play from the old patterns instead of the new ones.

If I turn PRST LNK off and just hit all three sequencers' pattern change buttons at the same time, everything changes over smoothly at the end of the measure.  If I chain the patterns I don't see this issue either.

I happened to be testing with 12/24 step sequences set to use triplets for the melodic sequencers, and 16-step non-triplets for the drums but this may be irrelevant.

I'd speculate that the pattern change engages a tick too late for one or more sequencers due to the way the follow between sequencers is programmed.

I'm hoping this can be addressed soon, since hitting the pattern change buttons precisely on all three sequencers at once can be very difficult.

Same problem here, with the same scenario. First note of "previous" pattern plays into new pattern.

I have the same problem.
does not occur every time, but especially when the length of the pattern is 48.
function Prst lnk becomes unusable...
sorry for bad English :P

i have troubles using quantized pattern change mode (wait to load pattern) with the preset link mode.

In pattern link mode, the "leading sequencer" for switching to the next pattern is the DRUM SEQ, right?
So PRST LINK is a bit unusable for changing patterns with different lenghts, because SEQ1 / SEQ2 will change on an undefined point in the particular pattern. Okay, sounds like a reasonable compromise, i can live with this.

But even with patterns on SEQ1 SEQ2 SEQDR containing the same length and speed (1/8 ,  1/16...) i got different result depending on if i use PRST LINK or if i just change pattern on each SEQ manually at the same time!!

PRST LINK then leads to off-timings and displaced pattern starting points.
Untight stuff happens then.... and i havenīt started talking about the hanging notes thing.

I do have some irregularities too.

Though, I couldn't yet figure out exactly where they come from. I have a 11/8 HiHat count-in on DRM pattern 1 (nothing on SEQ 1&2). Then, all SEQs should play stuff as of pattern 2.
While the drums kick in correctly, the SEQ 1&2 are sometimes a few steps off timing. The weird thing, sometimes it works after turning the BSP off and on.

I have all the problems listed above like overhanging notes and displaced pattern starting points.
I just stopped using the PRST LNK  :-\
