You're going to get lots of tech support calls about this:
It is virtually impossible for new users to figure out how to install the all-new Spark_Ableton_live_template because the instructions, poorly designed are incomplete, with
1. no clear, relevant, up-to-date screenshots of what at Mac OS X 10.x install process looks like, for installing the *new* Ableton Live Template
2. no further "instructions" pop up after double-clicking on factory.smc as a newbie would expect.
3. the scant instructions do not tell the enduser whether or not SPARK hardware should be powered on, and "connected" to MIDI Control Center or not.
4. no clear, intuitive means of testing the success of the installation attempt exists -- not even a screenshot of what MIDI Control Center GUI looks like before, and after the installation of the data within the supplied, double-clicked-on, Factory.smc exec file.
What should all of us OS X 10.X Spark Hybrid drum machine Newbies do? what are the full steps, with images (or verbal description) that accurately reflects Menu Bar labeling and Menu hierarchal relationships in the newer Mac OS X 10.x rendering of the new MIDI Control Center).
(The older MIDI Control Center HowTo.pdf is outdated because the menus and their labels depicted within the HowTo.pdf Screenshots don't match the newly designed MIDI Control Center GUI's menu bar and menu labels (e.g., ACTION Menu no longer exists) -- so what's the corresponding method in the *new* MIDI Control Center, to get the Spark Ableton_Live_Template, via the Factory.smc executable, properly installed?
I want to get started with LIVE, and I understand Customer Service has a hard time efficiently getting Customers the help they need to get started. Ergo, the instructions need to be clear, to reduce requests for help here and on your Support page.
So what's the *complete* secret to installing the new Ableton_Live_Template, seeing its instructions are not all spelled out *before* a user touches anything?
