Ableton and BSP usb sync issue
« on: March 19, 2016, 05:18:33 pm »
Hi, I am trying to syncronize BSP with ableton live  using usb connection and I have a delay problem.

The click sound from ableton and the one coming from beatstep starts unsincronized and after 8-10 clicks they become to sound at the same time . Is a bit annoying cos  I have to wait few seconds before the two clicks sounds syncronized.

I tried to adjust the midi clock sync delay from ableton , with better results but I still have to wait few seconds before the two devices get fully syncronized.
As well I tried differents configurations of MTC frame rate in ableton and different ppq from midi control centre from arturia.

I reinstalled my soundcard drivers , updated the firmware and midi control centre  and  in my midi setup from mac I removed the midi device and reinstalled with no better results.

I have more  gear and all of them have a good sync with ableton.

Any suggestion to solve this problem ?

Thank you

Details:
mac  Mavericks OS
ableton live 9.2 (midi clock, all)
Scarlet 6i6

Beatstep pro
tried with  sync 48ppq, 24ppq and 1
tempo: tried with global and project

maybe just have the beat step pro as your master and ableton as the slave.

iirc you then cannot run ableton live on its own until starting the BSP.
