BSP as midi slave has issues with DIN SYNC
« on: March 13, 2016, 07:16:05 am »
I am using an MPC 1000 as the midi clock master and the BSP as slave. No issues there but when I connect a TR-606 through DIN SYNC to the BSP, one annoying thing happens. Every time I stop the MPC, the BSP stops and the tr-606 too but if I hit play/start again on the MPC, the BSP starts from the beginning of the pattern but the TR-606 does not - it just continues playing from the middle of the pattern where I had stopped. Its as if the tr-606 is paused, not stopped. Anyone encountered the same issue?

Yes mine does the same when midi clock synced from a Sequentix P3 sequencer the DIN sync out to a Roland CR8000 does not reset on stop.
You have to press stop on the BSP to reset the CR8000
It works fine when BSP is on internal sync.
I just use the P3 din sync out which works perfectly.

yes, exactly. I was reading about this issue on a couple other forums, looks like a bug, I hope they fix it, it's becoming a pain in the ass to to this everything - sounds like a small thing but when you do it hundreds of times in a day it becomes a real issue. Are you listening Arturia? It should be a simple firmware fix.
