HELP PLEASE how do you connect BSP and iPad together? ...just received my new shiny BSP...and 

I get message can not use BSP, it requires too much power?

I got a power supply going into the splitter power and PC side going into iPad via Camera kit cable.

It has 2.4A output.....what am I missing here?

Hi faster,

- Reboot your iPad
- connect your BSP while holding SHIFT+STOP

IT'S WORKING, BSP is recognized....

Thank you, such a simple solution....and not to have to reboot iPad, I had to hold those 2 buttons while powering on

Hey that's a good trick, I didn't know you could do that!  Indeed I did not have to reboot my ipad, even after seeing the warning.  Powered hub (or usb battery) to "pwr" on y-splitter and ipad camera connector to "pc" on y splitter.  Hold shift+stop while connecting/turning on bsp and keep holding for a few secs, works for me (ipad 2, ios9).
Saves the hassle of needing another cable and unpowered hub between the splitter and the camera connector

Works like charm for me too, it's apparently something on iPad...

I am using BSP with a battery pack from "RavPower"-16000mA, had it plugged in 6-8 hours, the battery pack didn't even show any discharge:-)
(then I completely recharged iPad after with it)

Extremely portable...great, love the light weight, minimum wires setup

Yep I get similar performance from my verbatim 10000 mAh battery pack, definitely a handy accessory well suited for use with iPad + BSP

I'm looking at picking up a battery pack but I wondering as a lot of the new ones have some kind of overcharge protection circuit how that might affect power to a device that merely draws power like the BSP? Is there potentially any issues? Been looking at all kinds of brands, any tips?

Hi everyone.

This trick doesn't seem to work for me.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong :

(0) Reboot iPad)
1) Plug the Y cable into BSP
2) Plug USB cable in PWR branch on one side and on AC adapter on the other side
3) Plug USB cable in PC branch on one side and in lightning camera adapter on the other side
4) Plug lightning in iPad Mini (iOS 9.2)
5) Turn On BSP with keys SHIFT + STOP pressed

The main result is that I don't get anymore the "too much power" message on the iPad.
But BSP does not pop in MIDI Devices of my Apps (Propellerhead's Thor, for example)

Did I missed something ?

Get the one I have, you won't be disappointed...
I can run BSP for days...It is a highly reputable company. It has the capacity it claims.
There are some cheap brands claiming 23 000mA and size of a walnut...

The circuit protection has nothing to do with iPad or BSP. It protects itself from overcharging so it can be left plugged in indefinitely.

Pinkcell not sure if you're still having problems with ipad + bsp?

I found that if an app is already started before you connect the bsp, you need to force the app to quit and reload the app before it will see the bsp in the midi list.
