I also got the "machine registration failed" message when trying to activate V-Collection 4. Checked this thread a few times over the last few weeks & am finally motivated to register and post.

Following the advice of this thread, I tried several versions of the ASC and none of them worked.

The support team suggested various methods of deleting and reinstalling and the ASC and eventually all Arturia products. I went through this three times, each time requiring a 2 hour re-download of the entire collection because of the nature of the WelcomeApp.

- I tried disabling my wifi altogether and doing the offline activation, but nobody at the Arturia team turned that file around.
- there is nothing in my HOSTS file about Arturia
- used AppCleaner to remove all apps. and it still didn't affect the outcome
- manually removed all Arturia related preference files, plugins and hidden files
- this entire process deactivated my previously working Mini, so i've had to remove that from several sessions that met their deadline during this entire nightmare.

5 weeks and 0 days since purchase
11 days since the request for offline activation
10 days since my ticket for the offline activation
7 Days since last response from Arturia

OSX 10.9.5 / 3.4ghz i7 / 24gb ram / no firewall.

machine registration still fails.

5 weeks and 2 days since purchase
13 days since the request for offline activation
12 days since my support ticket for the offline activation
9 Days since last response from Arturia

I've emailed three times (last was 2 days ago) stressing the urgency of my situation here & asking if they are on vacation. Not a word back! Appalling. I have supported & advocated Arturia so thoroughly - why would I continue to do this?

looks like they dropped a new ASC - and it worked, no problems whatsoever! the support team was very apologetic and accommodating in the end. after 10 replies from them, we're all glad this is all over!

Reviving the thread in case anyone can be helpful.

I am having same Machine Registration Fail problem - but using latest ASC so fix from earlier thread doesn't help.

- New user installing V Collection for first time.
- Installed everything originally from links provided, went to register machine, didn't work.
- Arturia help had me remove everything and start over. Same problem.
- No firewall, I have admin access, permissions for all folders I can find are set to read/write (I have two users on the machine, set permissions for both of them just in case)
- Rebooted machine twice
- Wiped out the files and re-loaded ASC again, v1.1.3.144. Same problem.
- Arturia helpdesk seems stumped.
- Mac OS 10.10.5

Any ideas?

Update:
Turns out there was a file/folder where my permissions were not set for read/write. I changed several so not 100% sure which one, but that fixed the problem. Thanks to Arturia tech support for their help.
