Clear single Drum Parts
« on: November 08, 2015, 11:34:51 am »
is there any way to clear just a single drum part - for example just the snare or kick ? ?
if i clear a pattern with shift and step button 1 it erases all the drums...

The shift+knob 1 trick works with velocity on individual drum parts so you can come close to muting a single midi drum track by using that method of reducing the velocity of every step simultaneously.  The lowest velocity is 1 so for most midi drum instruments it will effectively be muted.  It won't work with drums triggered via the drum gate outs as they are not effected by velocity, but turning down the volume on the drum module you want to mute or muting it's channel on your mixer should work just as well as the shift+knob 1 trick.
Needing to take your hands off the BSP to do it isn't the most desirable solution though.
Currently running https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1311723 / www.modulargrid.net, sequencing with KSP and recording with a Zoom (no DAW involved, for better or worse ;) )

shift + knob 1 shifts my drums !? ( ahh just found out that it depends on the knob setting shift/velo/gate)
anyways you can mute single drum parts with drum + mute...
what i want is to save a recorded drum session to different scenes and erase single drums - for example the kick -
to create variations of the original recorded session - if i have 64 steps it's pain to erase all the steps on every 4 pages  :-\
