0v midi note has no effect when using Hz/Volt
« on: September 30, 2015, 04:09:45 pm »
I'm using the beatstep pro to control an original MS-20 (Hz/Volt). The pitch is very hi playing at normal octaves, so changing the 0v midi note from the default C0 to C2 should help but is has no effect at all. On Seq1, where I'm controlling an SH101 that uses V/Oct it works fine. This must be a bug...?

Try to set the 0V note to c-2 then press the MS20 lowest key to set the VCO.

Does not work. Like most synths the keys on the MS-20 are disconnected when it is hooked up to CV control so pressing the lowest key has no effect.

If Seq 1 works great, switch it to Hz/V and try to control your MS20 with it. Are you using the latest MCC version an Beatstep Pro Firmware?

Yes it work with the MS-20 connected to Seq1. Yes I believe so. I have MCC version 1.2.1.346 and BSP Firmware 1.2.0.6. Seems like either a bug or a faulty unit right?

Update: I have made a friend test this out on his BSP, and he is experiencing the same error - no change occurs when setting the 0V MIDI Note for seq2 when it is set to Hz/Volt. So it's a bug and hopefully it is just the Midi Control Center that does not send a parameter and not a general hardware issue.
