Attention users on Cubase 8.0.30 64bit - Win 8.1 64bit
« on: September 15, 2015, 09:35:19 pm »
I don't know under other configurations, but this 2.1.1 Spark version has SERIOUS issues with Cubase 8.0.30 64bit under Win 8.1 64bit.
1- First issue, it won't connect to the SparkLe controller until when you recall the plugin interface on your screen. To connect it automatically, you need to save your project with Spark visible on your screen.
2- Second (and really SERIOUS issue) it won't recall your bank with the track. It will only remember the last loaded bank. Open all the songs that you want in Cubase, but you'll hear alwais the same bank. The workaround to this, is to save not only your banks inside Spark, but also save the plugin status with a preset inside Cubase.

Well, after founding 2 workarounds (and lost a whole evening of music making), seeing this "product" failing on SO BASIC STUFF as the first 2 actions you take when opening a project (connecting to its controller and loading a bank) makes me wanna ASK MY MONEY BACK if there is no fix in 3 days.

I hate complaining and arguing with this "tone of voice" (I never did it here and in no other forums) but I feel joked, this is ridiculous! This is TOO MUCH.
Why? 'Cause I don't trust this software anymore, it has become an unstable toy, more than before.
Sorry, I stopped trusting in you, Arturia. And now, I just wanna get something more solid. It's time to STOP THIS STUPID JOKE.

I am really disappointed.

When first installed Spark, on Win 7, we had to live with the famous bug of drop-down menus disappearing.
After upgrading to Win 8.1, that bug was gone.
Now with this Spark2 update, it adds BIGGER problems to win 8.1
Ok, but, Win7 or 8, supported or not, Spark2 or 2.1, just one thing has been constant: living with BUGS.
Ohhh...and not to mention on OSX, sometimes the controller's lights staying lit.
ONE IS THE MAIN PROBLEM: POORLY DEVELOPED SOFTWARE.
No excuse.

Little update: another user is having the same problem on Win 7, Cubase 7.5
@terrym: as I suspected, Spark is the problem.

I did the same.
But this is temporary solution, soon  will switch to something else.
