longer patterns >32 will start verytime at Step 33. Why?

Hi everybody
I have the same problem with the BeatStepPro.
When expanding the lengh of a pattern beyond Step 32 the sequence starts everytime at 33 when using the devic(es) with the daw (logic 9pro)
This is an unsustainable status and an agreeable workflow.
Does anybody kwow what I can do with that?
