Midi control with fa-06 or similar
« on: July 17, 2015, 06:24:49 pm »
Planning to test tomorrow when I get my Roland.

But I'll need advice beforehand that I can't see in the manual.

I thought I'd try sequencing the fa-06 in both melodic channels 1 and 2 and set 10 for a beats voice.

However, with the beats and assigning say an F3 sound, which might be a snare, on this sound in the Roland, to a beatstep pad, say pad 10... Can I do this in the midi control centre? Is it just a matter of midi cc assigning to the pads in the drum sequence?

Will changing the midi cc of the pad affect the melodic (green orange) sequences as well?

I've never done midi assign or midi cc before, never needed to do I wanted to get advice beforehand?

Hi,

With the MIDI Control Center you can create a custom drum map with the MIDI notes you want for each pad, which will affect only the drum sequence. You can find it at the bottom of the parameters edition, on the right side of the software.

Oh thank you! I knew it would be easy, but getting started not knowing where to look ain't fun!
