Midi Problems With Microbrute - Midi receive parameter change
« on: February 20, 2015, 01:19:41 am »
I have Microbrute since last May (2014)
I had relatively good experience with it sound wise everything about it has always been great.

However lately sequencer latency when used in Ableton Live started bothering me a lot,  especially in a live situation there is a remarkable latency no matter how small the buffer size is.
Therefor i contacted Arturia support, long story short they weren't able to help me so far it has been 2 weeks.

Now the bigger problem is Microbrute stops receiving midi data when i use it in conjunction with other midi gear. What happens is Midi receive channel of Microbrute somehow changes i can't lock it via Connection software, this becomes really annoying since i have to re-adjust it almost after every midi event.

I tried using different USB cable, different port, Different version of Ableton Live, also tried various Live Midi settings and couldn't succeed.
Has anyone had that experience?

Yes!

If you send midi CC102 to the microbrute it will change the midi receive channel.

The TB-3 sends midi CC102 if the note has a slide!

I guess you are using the TB-3 ? :)
