Keylab 88 stuck in “Firmware Upgrade Mode”

After several failed attempts to upgrade my Keylab’s firmware from version 1.0.08 to 1.0.17,
I somehow got the installing process to start.

Unfortunately, the upgrade stopped at 40 % and MIDI Control Center reported a CRC error.
I tried again: this time the upgrade stopped even earlier.
After two more attempts it didn’t even start anymore.

And now my device’s display shows only rectangles while the TRANSPORTS buttons (stop, play, record …) are glowing.

I already tried resetting by pressing the octave buttons while turning the Keylab on — didn’t work.

Can anyone provide advice?

Hi Smeikx,

I'm sorry about the problem you face.

Could you try to re-reboot on bootloader mode by powering-up the keylab 88 holding edit+multi+sound buttons.

Then try a frimware update on different computer.

How do I determine if the device is in bootloader mode? When ich follow your instructions, all that happens is the same like when I turn it on without pressing any buttons:
The display shows only one line of rectangles and the Transports buttons are glowing.

Assuming that this was bootloader mode, I tried the upgrade on a different computer. All I got was an error message: Failed to open the device.

Is there anything else I can do?
