Adjust CV Voltage
« on: December 30, 2014, 10:42:46 pm »
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to control the max voltage out of the CV line?

I'd like to use the sequencer to control the expression jack on a couple of guitar pedals, but they get really unhappy if you send more than 5V.  I guess I could build some kind of voltage limiter circuit, but I'd prefer to avoid getting too hacky.

EHX sells an 8 step sequencer that seems to do what I need, but the BeatStep looks like it would be more useful\fun.

With the last firmware you can transpose +- 24 steps.  This lets me get a range in between 0 and 5V.    I can only get a 4 octave CV range at max (ie 0V to 4V or 1V to 5V).  This limits my intended use for CV since a lot of expression inputs are designed for 0V to 5V.   I used a multimeter to ensure the CV wasn't greater than 5V while an encoder is turned all the way up and then saved to memory.
