Trigger patterns with midi notes from DAW

... is it possible? I can't seem to figure it out. I use Live 9 and Spark 2.

When i do a midi record in the shuffle seems to get lost so my solution is to just trigger the different patterns with midi notes... But i can't seem to find the option to do so?

You have to assign MIDI note to the pattern.
Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) + click on the pattern button and choose a MIDI note.
