Triggering clips in ableton - sync problem
« on: June 12, 2014, 01:46:27 am »
Hi

I have recently purchased Spark2 & SparkLE.

Is there a way for spark to start from the beginning of the sequence (beat 1) if I launch a new scene in Ableton?

At the moment whenever I launch a new scene using my launchpad, spark will just carry on playing through the entire loop, so I'm getting loops in spark that are halfway through their sequence when I want them to start afresh when a new scene is launched. This isn't an issue if i'm working on a simple 16 beat loop as ableton is set to trigger new scenes every 1 bar (default), however when i'm playing a 4 bar loop in Spark the timings are all off if i trigger a new scene midway through the spark loop.

Any help appreciated!

I am also having this issue......basically I can't get Abelton to catch onto the first beat I'm starting with.

It also records the sequence into infinity instead of stopping when record is stopped.

It's a drag!

Hi, Can you not use Song mode? Giving the same media CC number to the first step in the beat. Or assign Midi CC and program change so that you get each ableton slice trigger a different pattern in Spark.

Thanks, Stuart
