SparkLE not recognised in windows 7 64-bit
« on: May 07, 2014, 11:20:22 am »
Installing SparkLE using provided software (spark 1.??) all lights illumine and Spark LED remains lit.
Windows Device manager shows SparkLE icon in Other devices with exclamation mark beside it.
Cannot find conflict with other USB devices because no USB ID is shown anywhere.
Manual says use 64 option but no chance to select 64 option in installation process.
any ideas?
Many thanks

Have you tried to use a different USB port on your computer?

Have tried other usb ports as are available - all on the front  - or rather sides - of the laptop - Sony vaio.
Windows discovers the device and calls it usb composite device.
When I try to load it as a sound card it asks for a driver disk 0 but I don't have one as all are contained within the exe file. I have tried using Sparkle 6 which came with controller, spark 7  and 2.0. No difference.
I want a driver that identifies the controller as a sound card. when I have installed midi controller it finds the controller but cannot do anything as it says connection failed - which I would expect when it is registered as unknown composite device.

Any further ideas guys?
thanks in advance
