Is there a Spark 2 Upgrade?

I have the original version of Spark from the V collection. Is there an upgrade path from what I have to Spark 2? Do I really have to pay $129 for the upgrade? If so, I don''t see Spark 2 in my future.

I've been wondering this same thing. But, I also have the Spark 1 hardware. Will the full sized version 1 hardware work with Spark 2?

If there's no upgrade option, Spark 2 might also not be in my future either.

looks like spark 2 isnt going to be with many users. think it was a bit misleading in all the spark 2 videos i saw as they all said spark 2 would be a 'free update to ANY spark user'  for example at 6mins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqyk-LyvOus

I'm think it may be a free update. I'm not entirely sure, because I haven't read that it is a free update.

Anyway, I downloaded the Spark2_latest.exe update and it just allowed me to save, and it says nothing about being in demo mode. So.. I think it's been upgraded.  But, I'll have to mess with this further when I have some time.

Also, the link to the update wasn't working via the site for the PC version. It was linking to the Mac DMG. But, here is where you can get that PC version, if they haven't fixed the link yet:

Upgrade from spark 1.7.2 worked for me. Spark 2 looks and feels great.

Interesting. It does NOT work for me. I downloaded Ver 2.0.0 and installed. When I launch it, I get the Auth Me screen and my previous Auth Code doesn't work.

What's the scoop? Is it perhaps a free upgrade to those that have the Spark hardware but not to those of us who only have Spark software?

It's working for me though.  I´ve got Spark EDM software and Spark LE hardware and I managed to upgrade them and so far so good. What software have u got Greg?

why anyone in their right minds would update is beyond me, it will be full of bugs just like all arturia plug-ins

Spark 2 is free if you have the hardware CDM or SparkLE version ie; the full Spark. Don't think that VDM counts as it is just a small part of the Full Spark, but I don't know for sure.

Yes, for registered users of the Spark 1 the upgrade to the next level is FREE. But do it carefully, because the Spark 2 software is not so good as in the video.
