SparkVDM, Maschine, MIDI editor & templates
« on: July 09, 2012, 12:07:34 am »
A new VDM user here, blown away with the sound quality and performing options! :-*

I'm just trying to map my Maschine via MIDI to VDM and it seems that the "Controller Editor" from Native Instruments is very similar to the Spark MIDI editor (if not the same ;)), because both could map the same MIDI controller types, incl. the Start/Stop button functionality, via equal NRPN commands.

So I now have a somehow working template with basic functions like Start/Stop, pad triggering, pattern triggering, mixer volume faders, master volume and swing.

What I really like to implement are the step buttons, the X/Y pad (via knobs on Maschine or a Korg nanopad2), Tempo knob, Tap button and the general modding knobs (under the display).

Have someone made such a Maschine template (and could share it) or can Arturia open their NRPN implementation chart to us? Or is the full MIDI mapping functionality part of the next VDM/CDM update???

I do not have a template, but I am very interested in obtaining one.
