Jupiter-8V 2.5 Update?
« on: January 12, 2012, 11:55:28 pm »
Hi!

Just curious: When is the 2.5 update coming for the JP-8V? I hope it includes some bugfixes and maybe a larger GUI.

Thanks in advance.

There is a beta for 2.5 now.  2.5 planned to be released at the end of March to the public.

Where can I find the beta documentation? All I've found are the release notes which don't say much. I sent in what I thought was a bug (MIDI learn not working - ctrl+click) only to find that there's now a dedicated button for this.
You can now assign multiple knobs at the same time, only thing is, the MIDI learn window obscures some of the GUI and is not draggable, so you have to close it anyway if you want to assign knobs which are under the window.
Does anyone have issues with the Master Volume? I have monitor speakers attached to my computer which don't have their own volume control.  I find that if I need to turn the Arturia synth volume down using the Master Volume, then as soon as I choose another patch, the volume returns to the patch setting. This does not happen on my hardware synths - if I turn down the volume knob it stays there, regardless of which patch I choose.

Maybe I'm missing something here but:

Isn't it like that on all other soft-synths, too?  ???
