Using Laboratory, v collection synths will NOT open in front, ideas to Fix?

might be something simple,  but running ableton live here,  when i have the laboratory going,  i try to open any of my v synths,  and they open behind the laboratory,  and for some reason cannot come to focus on the front,  i have to grab an edge and move it to the side of the laboratory to edit. 

Please let me know how to fix this.  thanks!
