Mateo Lupo's 'Speech' Sound
« on: February 23, 2010, 05:26:07 pm »
Could someone publish the settings--or provide some general ideas-of Mateo Lupo's 'I love you' demo. Reminds me of something Joe Zawinul used to do.

As odd as it sounds, I don't really need the ARP2600v -patch- (I own <ahem> -another- 2600 clone) but rather the patch routing so I can re-create in other softsynths.

Here's the link:

ftp://ftp.arturia.net/pub/arp2600v/demo_tracks/I_Love_You.mp3

Ideas?

THANKS!

As far as I know, you will need:
  • the BP et Notch filters
  • curves editor
  • madly complex patch of filters and oscillators which intermodulate each other
  • voltages processors (but the Arturia ones ;))

Sorry not to be more accurate...

I'd like to resurrect this topic as I just bought Arp 2600 and I've always wanted to know more about how this was done... or the similar 'chinese speech' sounds Zawinul and Tomita created.

Anyone still out there?
